Show your family, neighborhood service worker, favorite healthcare professional, and friends that you care, while providing much needed trees and their shade to regions in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Planting a tree through our "Throw Some Shade" initiative is completely FREE. Just enter your details and the person you're planting a tree for, and we'll make a donation to our partner in tree planting, Trees for the Future. They'll use that donation to plant a tree on your behalf in our newly launched Tabora Forest Garden Project in Tanzania.
Once you sign up to plant a tree, you'll receive a notification and your buddy will get a digital certificate to commemorate your thoughtfully thrown shade.
Other than offering shade, trees clean our air by absorbing carbon dioxide and producing oxygen. All over the world, planting trees also revitalizes degraded lands. Trees for the Future works with farmers in Sub-Saharan Africa to sustainably plant thousands of trees and crops. These trees bring nutrients back to the soil so farmers can grow a variety of fruits and vegetables that will provide food security and increased income.
Just fill out the form below and we'll donate a tree in honor of the person of your choice.
Where do the trees go?
The Tabora Forest Garden Project.
Forest Gardens consist of thousands of trees that provide families with sustainable food sources, livestock feed, products to sell, and, on average, a 400% increase in their annual income in four years.
Follow our progress.
In March 2021, around harvesting time, we plan to get some footage of the project site, which we will share with you. We look forward to seeing the contrast between just one year’s difference!
