As a certified B Corp, we’re counted among businesses that are leading a global movement for an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy.
What's a B Corp?
Certified B Corporations, or B Corps, are companies verified by B Lab – a third-party, non-profit organization – to meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.
What is the certification process?
Certified B Corps are required to:
- Consider the impact of their decisions on all stakeholders
- Agree to be transparent on five impact areas: governance, workers, customers, communities, and the environment
- Achieve a minimum verified score on the B Impact Assessment measurement tool
- Recertify every three years. This requires each org to satisfy the ever-changing standards and expectations of the certification every time
- Complete a comprehensive questionnaire, including substantiating evidence, followed up with an interview and reviews by B Corp, each with stringent guidelines
Why does this matter to you?
Fast becoming a global placard for leadership in environmental and social impact, that little encircled ”B” is a way for customers to instantly recognize that the organizations they buy from are working according to an entirely new way of doing business.
B Corp Certification helps businesses act as a force for good. For those adventurers and trailblazers out there, this stringent accreditation means they can trust that we are constantly improving our standards for positive social and environmental impact.
This isn't an end goal for Oboz. The steps we have taken to get to this point make up the first steps of this trail. Now, we just have an international movement supporting us.
