We’ve taken our popular Whakatā Puffy slipper up a notch, to above the ankle. The elevated engineered knit cuff will warm your ankles and keep drafts and blowing snow out. Slip into the Whakatā Puffy Mid Print in Camo after slipping out of your ski boots for a cozy, comfy après at the trailhead or home in front of the fire.

Whakatā, pronounced fah-cah-TAAH, is Māori for “to catch breath, rest, have a break”. Oboz consulted and got approval from the Māori language and culture guide at Oboz’s New Zealand-based parent company, KMD Brands, for use of the name. Oboz intends to honor the Māori culture in the best way—both within KMD Brands’ company walls and in the broader community.

We use our own gender-specific lasts to address the anatomical nuances between different types of feet. Length runs true to size. Form hugging heel cup, sculpted mid-foot, and a generous forefoot & toe box.

Rates

We currently offer Standard shipping (4-7 business days) and Express shipping (2-3 business days). Our preferred shipping carrier is FedEx. We currently only offer shipping to the USA. No international shipping.

Orders outside of the contiguous United States will ship Standard only at an increased shipping rate.

Please allow up to 2 days after order is confirmed to receive shipping confirmation with tracking info. Unfortunately, we do not ship orders on weekends so orders made after 12pm MT on Fridays will ship out on the following Tuesday along with orders made over the weekend.

The plush, puffy exterior feels like a warm embrace, providing unparalleled comfort that lasts all day long. Whether I'm running errands or lounging at home, these shoes keep my feet feeling happy and cozy. After a long day skiing, I slip these puppies on and it is pure bliss. They are not too hot either! "I was expecting them to be snugger around the ankle and with some arch support they are basically flat and somewhat loose fitting. I purchased Obzo winter ankle high boots around the same cost that I guess they discontinued other wise I would have ordered them. They fit snugly provide great support these do not they are almost slipper like. I will have to get an insert to help with the lack of arch support. Most people have arches why make a shoe with little to no arch. The winter ankle high slipons have to be the best fitting shoe i ever owned. I own two pair of them."
