The state of Colorado has fifty-eight, 14,000+ foot peaks.

In 2020, Evan Gill summited all of them.

Growing up in Baltimore, Evan did not have exposure to the outdoors. After serving in the US Military, Evan's family made their way to Colorado where his mountaineering journey began. 

Soon thereafter, Evan set out to make mountaineering history both in Colorado and eventually in the North Cascades of Washington. Unexpected adversity leads Evan to reflect on his own upbringing in Baltimore and his purpose in achieving his athletic pursuits: providing opportunities for Black urban youth to explore a life in the outdoors.
